This wine has an expressive core of dark macerated blackberry, blueberry and violet alongside sweet baking spice notes from the delicate oak integration, leading to flavors of dark red raspberry, followed by a rich mid-palate structure with bright acidity, and finishing with soft velvety tannins.Technical Information

The 2020 season was a warm, dry winter and the rain and cooler weather didn’t arrive until the end of March. While the mild spring season was a great early start, summer brought very cool mornings and very warm days. The white wine harvest started in late August, with the wines showing excellent development in the cellars, reflecting the fine vintage year. While the red wine harvest was smaller yielding, proving to be one of the most challenging in history, our winemakers remained optimistic and very complimentary of the high quality achieved from this unprecedented vintage. The resulting 2020 wines are of very high quality with concentrated flavors and excellent acidity.Vineyard
Sourced from our historic BV Ranch No. 12, this iconic plot is located in the northern end of the valley in Calistoga, and thus experiences dramatic diurnal temperature swings with hot days and very cool evenings. There is a wide range of soil types in this vineyard and is home to Beaulieu’s most diverse set of vine plantings including Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo, and Charbono.
